The Pittsburgh Steelers made one of the biggest moves of the unofficial beginning of the new league year on Monday, trading for Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr, and subsequently giving him a three-year, $59 million extension.

It was reported that the Steelers and Colts exchanged late-round picks as part of the trade, and now the full details have come to light.

Per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Steelers are sending a sixth-round pick to the Colts and are receiving a seventh-round pick along with Pittman. So, the final trade is as follows:

  • Steelers get: WR Michael Pittman, seventh-round pick
  • Colts get: Sixth-round pick

The Colts needed to offload Pittman after signing Alec Pierce to a four-year, $114 million deal, and the Steelers pounced at the opportunity to acquire him.

Pittman had 80 catches and seven touchdowns in 2025, both of which would have led the Steelers.
