Rasheed Walker became a free agent after the Packers chose to let him walk this offseason. The former 7th round pick started 48 games as a Packer, and most recently was their starting left tackle in 2025. He's graded out as a solid pass blocker, with a a pass block win rate good for 11th among offensive tackles last season.
This signing certainly seems to indicate the Panthers aren't sure if Ikem Ekwonu will be ready to return at all during the 2026 season. Walker would be set to step in day one as the team's starting left tackle, opposite Taylor Moton until Ekwonu can get healthy. With this signing, the Panthers are not pigeon-holed into drafting an offensive tackle early, but the option should still be up for consideration. They'll need to come up with a plan once Taylor Moton retires, whether that be a shift by Ekwonu or re-signing Walker following this one year deal.
What are your thoughts on the signing, Panthers fans?
