Makai Lemon will have ‘30’ visit with Giants; USC WR already met at Pro Day

Lemon also met with the Giants after his workout at the USC Pro Day on Thursday.
The Giants had a need for wide receiver help before losing Wan'Dale Robinson in free agency. Signing tight end Isaiah Likely, who could handle the bulk of the slot receiver duties, and wide receiver Calvin Austin in free agency does not take wide receiver off the draft board for the Giants.
Lemon is a 5-foot-11, 192-pound receiver who can play in the slot and on the outside.
Lemon did not run at the NFL Scouting Combine. On Thursday at the USC Pro Day, Lemon posted a 4.47 40-yard dash.
Lemon caught 79 passes for 1,156 yards (14.6 yards per catch) with 11 touchdowns this past season.
Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network currently has Lemon as his 11th-ranked prospect. Jeremiah writes:
Lemon is one of my favorite players in this draft. He is a wideout with a running back's body and a linebacker's temperament. He is at his best working in the slot. He wins with quickness off the line, understands how to tempo routes and consistently wins in traffic. He doesn't waste steps and he can explode in and out of the break point. He plays bigger than his size, displaying several 50/50-ball wins on elevated throws. To see his entire repertoire, just throw on the Iowa tape. He was a craftsman in that game and couldn't be covered (10 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown). He is ultra-competitive after the catch, breaking tackles and fighting for yards. Overall, Lemon is going to draw a lot of comparisons toAmon-Ra St. Brown, and they are warranted.
