The Eagles are signing Marquise Hollywood" Brown to a one-year deal, and adding his speed and experience to the Philadelphia offense is one of the more exciting moves from free agency. Brown has played for three teams in his seven seasons, but was able to stay relatively healthy last season in Kansas City, and should be a good addition for new OC Sean Mannion and Co. this coming season.

For his part, Brown hasn't publicly celebrated the news, but he has retweeted several posts about him signing with Philadelphia, including one that pointed out his near-overlap in college with QB Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma.

Here's what people in the media and around the league are saying about the Eagles adding Brown to a WR room that currently includes A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. The general consensus is that he's not being added to compete for WR1, but as a third receiver, he'll open up some opportunities.

I'm not sure how explosive Brown is anymore, but I'll take him as a WR3. He should be an upgrade on Jahan Dotson and ensure I don't have to watch Quez Watkins anymore.

I would probably prefer more of a power slot blocking WR type or a gadget player over a deep threat though.... https://t.co/gM586dJEgs

The WR depth chart all depends upon what happens with A.J. Brown. The Eagles will look to add in the draft.

Hollywood Brown gives the Eagles a field stretcher -they've been looking for speed. https://t.co/mcUFXI6UlZ

Hollywood Brown may be exactly what the #Eagles need as another option in the passing game.

Excellent in the slot and can stretch the defense from there. Opens up middle of the field as well.

Lot of upside with a one-year signing here.

The hope I think with Marquise Brown is he adds a vertical threat to the #Eagles offense, providing a slight upgrade over Jahan Dotson. He has 4.3 speed, but that has never been an issue. He has a slight frame (5-8, 180 pounds) and frequently gets banged up. He finished with...

If AJ Brown stays, an AJ-Devonta-Hollywood trio would definitely allow the offense to be vertical AF off of play action

The most productive #3 receiver the @Eagles have had in the Jalen Hurts era.

AJ + Smitty + Saquon + Goedert + Hollywood -- Eagles have by far the most talented skill unit in football. https://t.co/4gcXwn4qgQ

Hollywood Brown is exactly the kind of No. 3 WR the #Eagles need. Can stretch defenses from the slot. Gives the offense more diversity beyond relying on the (generally still great) standbys of Saquon, A.J., DeVonta, and Goedert.

Here's every deep target for Hollywood Brown in 2025 https://t.co/tx1Pnojifbpic.twitter.com/Kxk33Tu3IL

If A.J. Brown returns, Hollywood Brown is an ideal No. 3 WR behind him and DeVonta Smith. Hollywood only played in 5 games in 2024, including the playoffs, bc of a shoulder injury but played 16 games last season. https://t.co/ghLspqsVr7
