The Las Vegas Raiders signed Baltimore Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum last week. Let's get to know him:

Historic contract:

Future NFL interior offensive lineman will bow to Linderbaum. He signed a three-year, $81 million deal that has little to no fat in it. He is being paid $27 million a year. Linderbaum set the center market by a whopping nine million a season and he gets paid $3 million more than any guard. Players like Linderbaum don't come free often, but the Ravens didn't want to pay the $25 million plus franchise tag price. Thus, he wiggled free and cashed because of the Raiders' big salary-cap room and big need at the position.

Pass-protection underrated:

Linderbaum is known as a top-level run blocker (free Ashton Jeanty), but sometimes he has detractors in the pass protection. But Linderbuam has obly allowed five sacks in four NFL season. He's the real deal.

Major NFL success:

He has made the Pro Bowl for the past three seasons. Again, he's the real deal.

Major college success:

Before Lidnerbaum's NFL success, he dominated the college ranks while at Iowa. In 2021, Linderbaum won the Remington Ward, which goes to the best offensive lineman in the country. He was a finalist the season before. Linderbaum, the N0. 25 overall draft pick in 2022, was an unanimous All-American in 2021 and was the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year as well. What a decorated college career.

This is awesome! Iowa HS wrestling is one of the least discussed hot beds for college and NFL OL talent. https://t.co/vo7fdQ8J6C

Wrestling roots:

This has went viral and it should. Linderbaum was a stud wrestler in high-school wresting hotbed Iowa. Here he is pinning future fellow NFL star offensive lineman Tristan Wirfs. Way cool.
