After New Orleans reunited with linebacker Kaden Elliss to fill in the hole after Demario Davis was grabbed by the Jets, the Saints still had more shoes to fill on defense, specifically the edge.

It's the position Cam Jordan has dominated for nearly a decade and some sources say the team has been looking at many players coming out of college rather than finding another veteran in free agency.

In late March, it was reported that the Saints had been keeping an eye on defensive tackle prospect Tyler Onyedim after they had extensive talks with the former Aggie on his pro day.

From Texas A&M, Onyedim weighed in at 225 lbs. during the combine and wasn't highly graded, which means he could be a hidden gem based on how he finished his senior season with 49 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 29 lost yards from 3.5 sacks.

However, even if Tyler Onyedim is drafted, it'll take some time for him to acclimate to the league and improve his presence on the edge with Chase Young.

No matter if he is picked up, the question remains about where Cam Jordan may go. It's reasonable to argue how he should be re-signed after he finished last season with 32 solo tackles while appearing in all 17 games and marking his fifth season with over 10 sacks.

Although many rumors speculate his landing spot will be with the Chiefs in Kansas City, another team that may want to use his talent could be the Cincinnati Bengals after they traded their star defensive lineman, Trey Hendrickson, who signed with the Cowboys.

Wherever he may end up, the city of New Orleans loves Cam Jordan and many fans will be crushed to see him sign with another team, while some are hopeful that the Saints will find a way to keep him, possibly to have him retire a Saint.
