The Las Vegas Raiders may be in the market to add a rookie kicker.

They have signed veteran Matt Gay, wo has ties to the staff, to replace Daniel Carlson, who had been with the team since 2018.

Still, it wouldn't be a shock if the Raiders use a late-round draft pick or a prioritize a kicker in undrafted free agency to compete with Gay.

So, that could be fun, seeing a y0ung kicker vying for a spot with the Silver and Black. And this is a really fun one. Circle this name: University Texas San Antonio kicker Jaffer Murphy.

He recently got the NFL scouting community in a tizzy with a pro day performance frankly unseen by a kicker.

The dude is an athlete. Big time.

Murphy put worth a dizzying performance at his pro day as he ran a 4.50 40 and was 12 of 13 on field-goal attempts, including a 70-yarder.

UTSA kicker Jaffer Murphy ran a 4.50 40-yard dash... and went 12-for-13 on field goals, including a 70-yarder, in front of NFL scouts last week.

That combination is almost unheard of.

Kickers aren't supposed to be built like that. Murphy was his school's kickoff specialist in 2025, so he is raw as a palcekicker.

But there are some things to be excited about and teams from around the league will be closele looking into him after his spectacular pro day

Would you be interested if the Raiders spent a late-round pick on Murphy?
