Driver who fatally struck Hamilton crossing guard in November now facing careless driving charge, police say

The driver who fatally struck a Hamilton crossing guard in November is facing a charge of careless driving causing death, police said Friday. The crossing guard, 52, was on his way to work on Nov. 13 when the driver hit him at Upper Wentworth Street and Mohawk Road, Hamilton Police Service said.
