Bristow Group, Electra, Avinor, and the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority have officially launched a second international test project to accelerate the adoption of zero- and low-emission aviation. Using Electra's hybrid-electric "Ultra Short" aircraft, the initiative will conduct phased demonstrations across Norway to transform regional mobility. By testing operations at non-traditional access points-such as parking lots and soccer fields-and utilizing Norway's regulatory sandbox, the partners aim to validate how this sustainable technology can safely connect remote communities and reduce the environmental impact of regional air travel starting in mid-2027.
