- 2025 Stats (9 games started): 61 catches, 711 yards, eight touchdowns.

Prospect Overview

NFL.com:[Tyson has] added size and improved his route running over the last two years, showing he can align at all three receiver spots. He occasionally rushes the route but has the short-area quickness and contested-catch toughness to find chain-moving grabs in high-leverage moments. He's not a blazer but has enough speed to work down the field. Also, he has the ball skills and body control to win above the rim with timing on 50/50 throws. Scouts say he puts in the time to absorb knowledge and hone his craft.

Bleacher Report:Jordyn Tyson is a twitchy, dynamic playmaker with the route-running traits to be an impact starter and matchup receiver. This season, he has emerged as a high-volume target that translates well to the next level. A history of lingering injuries will cause difficult conversations during the draft about how high he should be valued by NFL teams.

Why Jordyn Tyson makes sense for the Jets and Giants

Both the Jets and Giants are in the market for another top pass catcher, as they each have a No. 1 receiver who is returning from injury in 2026. Malik Nabers is coming back from a torn ACL, and while Garrett Wilson's knee injury was less serious, he didn't register a catch after mid-October in 2025.

Tyson would bring some much-needed pass-catching ability to either of the New York teams. Despite his lengthy injury history, which includes a serious knee injury in 2022 and lingering hamstring injuries that disrupted the 2025 season and the pre-draft process for him, Tyson has impressed some scouts with his toughness in overcoming some of these issues.

He would seem to be someone who could complement both Wilson and Nabers, albeit in different ways. With the Jets, Tyson would give them an option who is bigger than Wilson, whereas the Giants would probably benefit most from his ability to move into the slot.

Tyson's athletic ability is considered to be good but not great, and he may have some room to develop in terms of his route running and production after the catch. However, his bench press at the combine was within one repetition of the all-time record for the wide receiver position, so his strength may be one attribute that is even better than advertised.

Many experts seem to feel like Tyson is potentially the most talented receiver in this year's draft, so if he ends up with the Jets or Giants and remains healthy, they could strike gold by selecting him. However, it's a risky pick because of his durability concerns and that will be reflected in where he comes off the board.

Tyson to the Giants is probably more likely now that they own the 10th overall pick following the Dexter Lawrence trade. While they already had the fifth overall pick, that would probably be too high for him, so they might have tried to trade down if he was a target.

As for the Jets, they pick 16th overall and would surely consider taking him with that selection, but it seems likely Tyson could be off the board by that point. Therefore, the Jets may need to move up to secure him, perhaps even ahead of the Giants if they are eyeing him as believed. It would probably cost the Jets a second round pick to trade ahead of the Giants, but they do have an extra one from the Quinnen Williams trade that was made at the deadline, so that's not out of the question.
