Pageantry is never lost on Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys had a presidential pre-draft press conference on the eve of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Former President Bill Clinton made a surprise guest appearance at the Cowboys' pre-draft press conference on Wednesday. Clinton walked in the Cowboys' press room as Cowboys executives addressed the Dallas media about the upcoming draft.

As Jones walked off the podium to greet Clinton, he accidentally tripped but was quickly held up before he tumbled to the floor. An unscathed Jones quickly gathered himself and greeted the former president.

He's been not only a wonderful president but friend over the years and really happy to have you today," Jones said.

Clinton responded: Thank you. I'm happy to see you. Have a good draft day."

The Cowboys did make some football news during their pre-draft press conference. Jones' son, Stephen, the Cowboys executive vice president, told reporters that George Pickens will play under the franchise tag this season and they won't negotiate a long-term deal with the wide receiver.

Pickens has yet to sign the franchise tag.

There's never a shortage of headlines with the Cowboys.
