The Denver Broncos season effectively ended the moment news came out that Bo Nix had suffered a season-ending ankle injury after leading the team to victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. So any injury update on his rehab progress will be newsworthy events.

His progress coming back from that injury has been solid so far. Multiple reports emerged last week that Nix was scheduled to have a re-check" of his ankle and we have since learned that this was merely a successful and anticipated follow-up procedure on that ankle.

During his scheduled re-check with Dr. Norman Waldrop last week, #Broncos QB Bo Nix had a successful and anticipated follow-up clean-up procedure on his ankle, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

That is great news and all we needed to hear as fans. Without Bo Nix, the team struggled to perform and losing a guy who helped the team win double-digit one score games last season is never a good thing. Head Coach Sean Payton noted the procedure and had zero concerns about the reports that had surfaced during the draft.

Yes," Payton said on Saturday. He had a recheck that was scheduled. He's doing great. We're excited about his progress. Nothing to report. These guys will be coming in here. He's here. A number of these guys are coming in the building. Guys will be working on Monday [May 4] and then probably more of a team meeting next week. Then certainly you've seen the schedule. Probably in the prior two years, we would have been out on the field and you guys would have been out there with us in May. It's kicked back a little, so that will take place in June."

This follow up seems to confirm the expected nature of this follow-up and subsequent clean-up work Nix had done on that ankle. All systems go on the rehab front it would seem.
