The Tennessee Titans are about to have a new person running the football side of the business.

Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker is stepping down from his role and leaving the o rganization, the team announced Tuesday. In a statement, he suggested the move was to find a role elsewhere closer to personnel management:

"It has been an honor to serve as President of Football Operations of the Tennessee Titans," Brinker said in a statement. "Over the years, I've understood and embraced my role as the leader of the football strategy, but as I've spent less time in personnel, I have a renewed conviction that it is time to return to what I love and move towards my next chapter. I'm grateful for [Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk's] understanding in my decision, and for allowing me to pursue other opportunities.

Brinker had held the president role since 2024, having been promoted from assistant general manager. Before that, he spent 13 years in the Green Bay Packers' front office, going from scouting intern to personnel and football administration executive.

His time with the Titans saw the beginning of a full rebuild, centered around the first overall selection of Cam Ward in the 2025 NFL Draft. 2025 was a trying first season for Ward, who led Tennessee to a 3-14 record.

Brinker also hired Mike Borgonzi as general manager in 2025 after the firing of Ran Carthon.
