The NFL announcement inception has finally begun for the 2026 schedule release. The league has formally revealed the date on which the league's 2026 schedule will be announced, with the whole thing set for this Thursday, May 14. On that date, fans will finally know the dates, times, and locations of every game for the upcoming season (at least prior to any flexible scheduling considerations as the season goes on).

As of Monday morning, there has been no confirmation about the dates or times of any games featuring the Green Bay Packers for 2026. However, with the NFL revealing news about some big games little by little ahead of the full schedule release, expect to hear some details in the coming days leading up to the formal release show at 8 PM Eastern on Thursday.

To get ready for that release, let's review what we know about who the Packers will play in 2026.

2026 Opponents

In 2026, the NFC North division will face the NFC South and AFC East divisions as part of the NFL's normal schedule rotation. Meanwhile, the Packers finished second in the NFC North and will play 2nd-place teams in matchups where divisional finish matters - namely the NFC West, NFC East, and AFC South.

Here are the opponents for 2026:

Home Games: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans

Road Games: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams

International NFL Games

Packers fans can be fairly confident that their team will not play a game abroad in 2026. Several games have not yet been finalized, but the Packers in theory could still end up being the visiting team for only two of them based on their opponents for the coming season.

The first possibility is the game in Paris, France, which the NFL announced months ago will feature the New Orleans Saints as the home team. Green Bay could end up making a trip to Paris in the fall since they have a road date with the Saints on the list of opponents. The one other game that is a possibility is the contest set for Munich, Germany. The Detroit Lions are the home team for that game, but Lions president Rod Wood said that his team asked to protect their home matchup against the Packers from being played in Munich, taking that possibility off the table.

Otherwise, all of the games in London cannot have the Packers as the visiting team, since the announced home teams are not scheduled to host Green Bay at any point this coming season.

UPDATE: Just kidding. The Pittsburgh Steelers were announced on Tuesday as the Saints' opponent for the Paris game, meaning that the Packers will not be playing any international games in 2026.

Wednesday brought the full schedule for all of the international games for 2026:

• Week 3: Ravens vs. Cowboys (Rio de Janiero, Brazil)
• Week 4: Colts vs. Commanders (London, England)
• Week 5: Eagles vs. Jaguars (London, England)
• Week 6: Texans vs. Jaguars (London, England)
• Week 7: Steelers vs. Saints (Paris, France)
• Week 9: Bengals vs. Falcons (Madrid, Spain)
• Week 10: Patriots vs. Lions (Munich, Germany)
• Week 11: Vikings vs. 49ers (Mexico City, Mexico)

Major confirmed games around the NFL

In addition to the international games listed above, here are some other games that have already been confirmed across the NFL for 2026.

• Week 1: Cowboys @ Giants on Sunday Night Football
• Week 1: Broncos vs. Chiefs on Monday Night Football
• Week 2: Lions @ Bills on Thursday Night Football

Holiday Games

We know that the Packers won't be playing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, since Dallas always hosts on the holiday and they are scheduled to play in Green Bay. Packers-Lions is always a possibility (even though they played on Thanksgiving last year), as is Green Bay playing in the late game.

Packers Schedule Rumors & Reports

One thing that we can confirm for now is that the Packers will play on Sunday afternoon in week 1. The SNF and MNF games have already been revealed, and the Packers do not play the Seahawks in 2026 so they will not be in the kickoff game, either; thus, they will play at 12:00 Noon or in the 3:00 hour Central Time.

As noted above, the Packers will not play internationally in 2026.

UPDATE: On Wednesday, the NFL revealed that the Packers will play at the Los Angeles Rams on Thanksgiving Eve, the first NFL game scheduled for the Wednesday of Thanksgiving week.

We will begin filling in the schedule below with details of the Packers' schedule as they get leaked or confirmed ahead of the full release on Thursday evening.
