Romeo Doubs has been a New England Patriot for just over two months. The last three weeks has included his first on-field work with the team during the voluntary offseason program.

So far, so good.

I love it here," Doubs said. The adjustment feels right on time in terms of obviously coming into a new system, being under, obviously, a great offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, Coach Vrabel, things in that nature. Just football stuff, man."

Doubs signed a four-year, $68 million deal with the Patriots on the second day of free agency. He wasted little time getting to work understanding the new offensive system, as executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf shared that Doubs had to put down the team-issue iPad - loaded with offensive playbook - before even putting pen to paper.

After spending his entire career in Green Bay's West Coast system, Doubs acknowledged the language under McDaniels is very different. Still, the adjustment to the concepts and little nuances of the Patriots' offense has been solid, and the rest of New England's wide receiver has been helpful.

I have the right people around me," Doubs said. I have Mack [Hollins] around me. I have a great receiver in DeMario [Douglas] and Kyle [Williams]. And even Efton [Chism] - like those dudes have been guiding me, showing me the way just how this system works. I'm blessed to be around those dudes."

Doubs is coming off a season in which he posted a career-high 724 receiving yards on 55 receptions. He followed that with an eight-catch, 124-yard performance in the Packers' Wild Card loss.

Now with a better understanding of his fit in McDaniels' offense, the 26-year-old is confident he has even more production to give.

Just being around him, being in this system, understanding the system thus far, I can already see just how he thinks offensively. And it's a completely different mind to say," Doubs said. That's justsomething that you need as a player - just different game plans, different perspectives, different concepts, ways how to run routes. It's just something to see and I'm blessed to be around it."
