Hamilton could be turning away from locally-designed textured concrete that makes sidewalks and intersections easier for people with disabilities to navigate. City staff say a change to using metal domes could help bring the city in line with provincial standards. However, several people with disabilities tell CBC Hamilton the proposed alternative could make it harder and more dangerous to get around.
