What position needs a free agent signing?1377d7918d1ea108ca45b49b5ca53e04

The polled fans in Chiefs Kingdom feel the team should sign a veteran wide receiver before the 2026 season begins.

This question was posed just hours before news broke that Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice will miss OTAs and mandatory mini-camp due to an order to serve 30 days in jail for violating his probation. Rice will also be recovering from a clean-up surgery on his knee that wouldn't allow him to be on the field until training camp, at the earliest, regardless.

There isn't much beyond further team or league discipline that should keep Rice from being part of the Chiefs' receiver room this year, but the position could use a reliable veteran either way.

Which rookie is in it for the long haul?83b9fd94de7ecd84068fa8568b128142

Answering a question that made them think about the long-term prospects of the Chiefs' rookie class, nearly half of the polled fans leaned towards a vote for defensive tackle Peter Woods as the most likely to earn a second contract in Kansas City.

The second first-round pick beat out the team's top pick, cornerback Mansoor Delane, and that might indicate that fans understand how the team has historically valued each player's position.
