For the second year in the row, it appears that the Las Vegas Raiders' 2027 free-agent class will be less than impressive.

Thus, there aren't many perspective high-priority pending free agents. Of course, things can change if a player has a huge 2026 season. But, for now, there doesn't appear to be many pressing contracts to extend.

Here are the Raiders' current 2027 unrestricted free agents (UFA):

DT Thomas Booker

OL Spencer Burford

S Jeremy Chinn

WR Phillip Dorsett

K Matt Gay

Edge Malcom Koonce

TE Michael Mayer

OL Jordan Meredith

QB Aidan O'Connell

TE Albert Okwuegnunam

LB Segun Olubi

SAF Isaiah Pola-Mao

TE Ian Thomas

WR Tre Tucker

WR Dareke Young

Note:

Quarterback Kirk Cousins isn't a pending free agent, but he is fully expected to be relelsed next year.

As it stands today, let's break down Las Vegas' current 15 pending unrestricted free agents (Cousins not included).

Consider extending now:

Chinn

The Raiders have some salary-cap room to play with and they could extend Chinn prior to the season. He's a solid player and a ley part of the defense. I know the Raiders drafted two safeties and Chinn isn't major priority, but securing him now for the future wouldn't be the worst idea.

Let's see how the season goes:

Booker, Burford, Gay, Koonce, Mayer, Olubi, Pola-Mao, Thomas, Tucker, Young.

If a few of these players (I'm thinking Tucker, Maye and Koonce) ball out to start the season, an in-season extension may make sense. The others are all probably worth waiting until the offseason and figuring out everything then.

Not seeing it:

Dorsett, Meredith, O'Connell, Okwuegnunam

Most of these guys are on the 2026 roster bubble, anyway.

Conclusion:

For the most part, there isn't a lot of urgency here.
