Packers RB Josh Jacobs arrested Tuesday on 5 charges
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested in northern Wisconsin on Tuesday and booked into the Brown County Jail, per a press release.
The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department was dispatched for a disturbance involving Jacobs on May 23, 2026.
The running back was arrested on Tuesday booked on five charges. The investigation is active and ongoing, per the police department.
The Hobart-Laawrence Police Department booked Jacobs on the following charges:
Battery - Domestic Abuse
Criminal Damage to Property - Domestic Abuse
Disorderly Conduct - Domestic Abuse
Strangulation and Suffocation
Intimidation of a Victim
Strangulation and suffocation is a felony assault charge, while the others are misdemeanors, per jail records.
Jacobs' attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, released a statement on the running back's behalf stating that their client denies all allegations. They also asked for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course."

The NFL released a statement about the incident. The league said, We are aware of the report and have been in contact with the club."
The Packers also released a statement saying, As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment."
The running back has been arrested before. He was booked in January 2021 following a single-car accident in Las Vegas on suspicion of driving under the influence. After further investigation, he was released from custody that day after receiving treatment at a local hospital for injuries sustained during the crash.
After that incident, he faced a misdemeanor charge of failure to decrease speed or use due care under certain circumstances," but the case was closed after he paid a fine.
Jacobs has been in the NFL for seven years. He began his career with the Las Vegas Raiders, spending five seasons with the franchise.
The running back hit free agency after the 2023 NFL season and signed a four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers. He is through two years of the deal.
