NY Giants injury news: Abdul Carter twists ankle, leaves practice
The injuries seem to keep rolling in for the New York Giants. Edge defender Abdul Carter left the first practice of the Giants' mandatory minicamp early with an ankle injury.
Head coach John Harbaugh said after practice that Carter twisted his ankle and the injury doesn't look serious."
Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News initially reported that Carter had his shoe and sock off and was being examined by the Giants' training staff. He then left the practice field and was walking very gingerly".
Update: Jordan Raanan of ESPN is reporting that the current belief is that Carter is okay" despite the injury scare. We hope to get more information on the nature of what happened soon.
Monday's practice was open to the media, however whatever happened to the Giants' second year pass rusher seemed to happen out of sight of the assembled reporters.
The Giants have already lost three players to Achilles tears this spring.
