‘Better than what’s there now': St. Catharines, Ont., residents react to plans for former GM site

The City of St. Catharines, Ont., presented three plans for the lands in and around the abandoned and contaminated, former General Motors site and heard from the public at a meeting Tuesday night. Part of the Ontario Street Corridor Secondary Plan Study, the concepts detail potential uses, layouts and densities for the area along Ontario Street from the QEW in the north to Welland Avenue in the south.
