Things are going just fine for A.J. Brown in New England.

Brown, who just finished his first minicamp with the Patriots, told reporters that he's been impressed with quarterback Drake Maye.

The talent speaks for itself," Brown said on Thursday. He can make any throw. But I think what's more impressive to me is he knows what he's doing.

To be that young and understand the defense and understand every little check, the hot routes, the blitz, and all those things so young and so fast, it's very impressive. I really admire that."

The Patriots acquired Brown from the Eagles on June 1 for two first-round draft picks.

Brown joined the team just over a week ago and is still learning the new playbook and building relationships with his teammates, but he says it's going really well.

The former Eagles wideout has found it easier to fit in due to the high number of his former teammates and staff from the Titans on the team, including head coach Mike Vrabel.

Brown and Maye also plan to meet up during the six-week break before training camp to perfect that craft" of playing together.

Maye, 23, is coming off a season with 4,394 yards and 31 touchdowns that ended in a Super Bowl appearance.

He was the MVP runner-up.

I was just bragging on him, talking him up," Brown said. I say, Man, you're like that. You can make any throw.' I just want him to be confident. I was kind of pushing him today. I told him, I want you to be perfect today.' He was like, Let's be perfect.' I said, Don't worry about anybody else, just focus on yourself. You be perfect, you're going to raise that standard, and everybody else will follow.'

So, just trying to poke at him a little bit, see how far you can go. But he's a great player, and I'm excited for the season."

Maye told reporters that Brown has been a great teammate so far," helping out in the locker room and always prepared to learn.

The 29-year-old was partially brought in to teach the Patriots' young receiver room - who fell just one game away from a championship last season - what it takes to win.

Brown won the 2025 Super Bowl with the Eagles.

The best thing about him, he's been a winner," Maye said. He knows what it's like to win, and he's someone in that room that we were looking for. I think that's the best thing."
