The Pittsburgh Steelers have wrapped OTAs, meaning the next time they take the field will be in Latrobe for training camp on July 29.

It will be the first camp for new head coach Mike McCarthy, as we get closer to seeing what this new era of Steelers football looks like on the field. One thing that stood out during Pittsburgh's offseason program, though, is attention to detail from the veteran head coach, as Mark Kaboly points out.

The attention to detail is off the charts, Kaboly said on Kaboly and Mack via Ross McCorkle of Steelers Depot. I'm talking about stuff as simple as during the middle of practice, they blow the whistle and say TV timeout, everybody back to the huddle...'"

Additionally, McCarthy ensured that the Steelers used every second of practice time allotted to them in the CBA by keeping coaches off the field during team stretches. The reasoning behind that is that because per CBA rules, the two-hour clock starts once coaches take the field.

When it comes to coaching the quarterbacks, McCarthy has left no stone unturned. The footwork of Drew Allar has been a large focal point since the Steelers drafted him back in April. And while his feet already look world's better than they did at rookie minicamp, McCarthy is constantly making small tweaks to make sure that aspect of Allar's fundamentals, as Alan Saunders of Steelers Now points out.

I was thinking to myself, "Man Drew Allar's footwork looks a lot better."

While some are still skeptical about McCarthy, his attention to detail is admirable, especially when it comes to the development of Allar, and it's a good sign of things to come.
