The New Orleans Saints have brought in Houston Gamblers wide receiver and return specialist Jalen Moreno-Cropper for a minicamp workout, according to reports. Cropper previously spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and has also worked out for the Denver Broncos this offseason.

Cropper, 25, has revived his NFL hopes with a strong showing in the UFL. The former Fresno State standout emerged as one of the league's top return specialists while also contributing as a receiver for the Gamblers.

Before joining the UFL, Cropper spent three years with the Cowboys after entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2023. While he appeared in a handful of regular-season games, he was unable to carve out a permanent role in a crowded Dallas receiver room.

For the Saints, the workout represents a low-risk, potential high-reward opportunity to evaluate a player who could provide value on special teams while competing for depth at wide receiver. New Orleans has consistently looked for playmakers who can contribute in multiple phases of the game, and Cropper's provides just that.

Whether this workout leads to an NFL contract remains to be seen, but Cropper's recent UFL success has clearly opened the door for another opportunity to pursue his childhood dream.
