Planning a summer vacation? My must-have beach speaker is 45% off for Prime Day
I have a lot of Bluetooth speakers, so there isn't a shortage of choice when I want to listen to music. I tend to like Marshall's products because of the design and sound quality, and I used the Emberton III quite a bit in the last year, and it is the device I take while going on vacation.
The Emberton III is diminutive against the likes of the Stanmore III, but it produces a loud sound that belies its size, and the portability means you can take it anywhere - this is a small Bluetooth speaker with a great design and standout sound.
The Emberton III is now down to just $99, a heady $80 discount from its usual $179 retail. It was down to $129 in last year's sale, and the $99 deal is the best I've seen on this model yet. So if you're looking to buy a portable Bluetooth speaker, now is the ideal time to do so.
The Emberton III proves that you can get great sound in a small chassis. It retains Marshall's classic styling, and you don't miss out on any of the extras, like water resistance.
Recommended if: You want a stylish speaker with a great sound, IP67 dust and water resistance, physical controls, and good battery life.
Skip this deal if: You want the loudest sound. The Emberton III delivers 20W of sound, and if you need something that fills medium-sized rooms, you should look at Tribit's StormBox Lava instead. View Deal
I like two things about the Emberton III: the size and sound quality. It is smaller than most Bluetooth speakers, and that allows you to take it just about anywhere. You get two 10W full-range drivers, and while that it isn't a lot, Marshall did a great job utilizing the innards to deliver sound that's much fuller (and louder) than its size suggests.
The sound quality itself is classic Marshall - just like the design. You get a rich bass, clean mids that put vocals at the center, and good treble extension. The design is in line with Marshall's other products, and that's a positive too; the metal grille with the embossed Marshall logo just stands out.
The IP67 dust and water resistance means you can use it at the pool without any issues, and it lasts 24 hours between charges. You can take calls as well, and there's the ability to tweak the sound to your tastes - should you need to.
Overall, the Emberton III looks good and sounds great. And at just $99, it is a terrific deal if you're looking to get a new portable Bluetooth speaker.
