AI is causing phone prices to go up, but you can beat the RAM crisis with this powerfully underrated Galaxy phone
2026 has been increasingly plagued by the ongoing RAM crisis; as companies focus their resources on building more data centers for AI, smartphone prices get higher. Fortunately, some of last year's models are largely unaffected, and phones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus remain viable options in 2026. In fact, the Galaxy S25 Plus is down to its lowest price thanks to this Prime Day deal, and it's quite an incredible steal.
The Galaxy S25 Plus launched at a relatively high price of $999, which is $100 less than the Galaxy S26 Plus's launch price. As a very powerful phone, it was priced pretty reasonably, but still eye-watering. However, at 34% off, you can grab this powerful AI phone for just $664.
One of Samsung's best smartphones is more than $300 off, which is an incredible discount for a phone that still has plenty of life left in it and years of updates left. This is the cheapest we've seen it since it launched so grab this discount while you can!View Deal
I've reviewed the last few Galaxy S "Plus" models, and the S25 Plus is still an incredible smartphone, even with its more powerful successor available. It's powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite and sports 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is a sweet spot for most consumers.
The Galaxy S25 Plus is something of a middle child of the S series, sporting a large QHD+ display and a big, all-day battery, but without the big 200MP quad-camera system of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Still, it features an impressive triple-camera system with a 50MP primary sensor and a 3x telephoto camera. It also comes in an array of colors, my favorite being the Navy hue.
One of the great things about the Galaxy S25 Plus is that it still gets many of the latest One UI 8.5 features found on the Galaxy S26 Plus. There are plenty of AI editing tools, upgraded camera features, and even a new AI-powered Bixby. And thanks to Samsung's generous update policy, the Galaxy S25 Plus will still receive years of OS upgrades and security updates.
There are plenty of reasons why you should still grab last year's Galaxy, especially at this price. However, if you wanted the latest model, the Galaxy S26 Plus is also on sale. The phone, which originally cost $1,099, is now down to as low as $759, which is a lot more reasonable for a phone with the latest Agentic AI features.
The Galaxy S26 Plus has only been out for half a year, but it's already hit its lowest price, under $800, making this Prime Day deal an incredible value for a phone that originally cost $100 more than its predecessor at launch.View Deal
