'Hard Knocks' featuring Super Bowl champion Seahawks to debut Aug. 4
As NFL training camps get set to open over the next week, HBO and NFL Films released the trailer for this season's edition of "Hard Knocks," which will feature the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
The series will premiere Aug. 4 at 9 p.m. ET, a week earlier than originally scheduled. The 27th season of the show will follow Mike Macdonald's team as it prepares to defend its title.

Seahawks rookies reported last Friday and will be joined by the veterans later this week as camp fully gets underway in Renton, Washington.
This is the franchise's first time on the show. Seahawks general manager John Schneider declined an offer in 2013 to appear on "Hard Knocks," saying the team did not want to bring "attention to ourselves." Now that the Seahawks have given NFL Films and HBO the green light, the preparation by Macdonald, quarterback Sam Darnold and NFL Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba, among others, will be documented over five weeks leading into the 2026 NFL season.

The Seahawks won their second championship in franchise history last season, Macdonald's second year in charge and Darnold's first with the team. They finished the regular season as NFC West champions with a 14-3 record. In the playoffs, they beat the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams before topping next year's "Hard Knocks" team - the New England Patriots - in Super Bowl LX.
The Seahawks and Patriots will open the season on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Lumen Field.
