The Seattle Seahawks are in the middle of their first training camp practice, with fans and the HBO Hard Knocks" filming crew all in attendance. Excitement is in the air for the Super Bowl champions, and there's already a big positive to reveal before practice is even finished.

Second-year wide receiver Tory Horton, whose promising rookie season was cut short due to a shin injury, will not begin camp on the PUP list. There was optimism from Coach Mike Macdonald that he would be ready for training camp (without committing to Day 1), and here's evidence of Horton's readiness.

No PUP list for Tory Horton.

Horton's final game of last season saw him catch two touchdowns against the Washington Commanders, ending the year with five touchdown grabs on 13 catches. He also showcased his speed on special teams, returning a punt 95 yards for a score in a blowout September win over the New Orleans Saints.

When Seattle traded for Rashid Shaheed at the deadline, it was not because of Horton's injury. Unfortunately, we never got to see Horton, Shaheed, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Cooper Kupp all healthy at the same time as anticipated. We'll have that opportunity soon as long as they all get through training camp and preseason safely.

Any thought about a setback for Horton can be put aside; no PUP, no waiting for next week, he's ready to rock and roll starting today.
