Puka Nacua will practice without new contract

Puka Nacua's entering the final year of his rookie contract and is worth a lot more on the football field than what he's set to be paid, but the fourth-year receiver will not hold out or hold in for a new deal. As the Rams started camp on Saturday, Nacua not only reported, but Sean McVay said he is set to fully participate in practice. However, speculation started to gain traction on Saturday that Nacua is not out of the woods from a possible suspension by the NFL.

Sean McVay said WR Puka Nacua will be at training camp and will take part in practices. Nacua is going into the final season of his rookie deal.

A new contract for Nacua could be north of $43 million per season and $100 million guaranteed. That's typical money these days for a WR1, but there are some extenuating circumstances with Nacua.

Like can he stay out of trouble and healthy enough to play week to week?

As Nacua is dealing with an accusation that he allegedly bit a woman who is now suing him, the NFL could determine that his off-field incidents could fall under the league's Personal Conduct Policy. The same policy that led to AJ Jackson being suspended for two games in 2024.

In any case, Nacua is at practice and he doesn't have a new contract.

Either of those situations could change.
