August 15: Lake Washington Blvd Bash with music, food and open streets
by Tom Fucoloro from Seattle Bike Blog on (#77B09)

Summer on Lake Washington Boulevard keeps getting better. Not only are there Bicycle Weekends every non-SeaFair weekend, but a coalition of community groups are getting together to host the first Lake WA Blvd Bash, a free festival of music and food in the middle of the historic car-free route.
From noon to 7 p.m. August 15, join the Seattle Streets Alliance, Bike Works and Outdoors For All at the Ferdinand Street Hand Carry Boat Launch. Can be enjoyed from land or water, so bring your paddleboard or floaties if that's your style. Outdoors For All will provide free adaptive cycles to borrow.
The music lineup includes:
- The Whags
- Maya Marie
- Tomo Nakayama
- Bryan John Appleby
- Jesse Thoreson
- Tony Williams & The Stone Sharp Band
RSVP to help organizers gauge interest and to get event updates.
