Giants work out 8 players, including one familiar face
Dee Williams with the Giants. | Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesWHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. - The New York Giants brought eight players to The Greenbrier Sports Performance Center on Tuesday for workouts, including former Giants defensive back Dee Williams.
Williams played in 12 games for the Seattle Seahawks in 2024, and one for the Giants. He returned one kickoff for 23 yards for New York. He spent last season on the Cleveland Browns' practice squad.
Here is a synopsis of the other players worked out by the Giants:
Darrian Dalcourt (G) - Dalcourt, 25, spent the 2024 season on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad after going undrafted out of Alabama. He was waived before the 2025 season, and spent parts of 2025 on the practice squads of the Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers, and Browns. John Harbaugh has familiarity with him from Baltimore, and offensive line coach Mike Bloomgren from last season in Cleveland.
Wesley French (C) - French, 29, played in 17 games with three starts for the Indianapolis Colts in 2023. He spent 2024 on injured reserve, and was on the practice squads of the Browns and Dallas Cowboys last season.
Brenden Jaimes (G) - The 27-year-old Jaimes was a fifth-round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021. He has played in 50 NFL games with three starts in four seasons with the Chargers and one with the New England Patriots.
D.J. James (DB) - A sixth-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2024, he was waived at the end of the preseason. He spent most of 2024 and 2025 on the Patriots' practice squad, appearing in one game last season.
David Long (CB) - A third-round selection by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2019 NFL Draft, Long has played in 80 regular-season games with 12 starts. After four seasons with the Rams, he has spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers (twice), Green Bay Packers, and Indianapolis Colts. He played one game for Carolina last season.
Max Scharping (G) - Scharping, 29, was a second-round pick by the Houston Texans in 2019. He has played in 81 regular-season games with 33 starts. He spent three seasons with the Texans, two with the Cincinnati Bengals, and played in two games last season for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
J.T. Woods (S) - A third-round pick by the Chargers in 2022, he played in 13 games over the 2022 and 2023 seasons for Los Angeles. Since then, he has spent time on the practice squads of the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Jets.
