According to Adam Schefter, the Detroit Lions are signing free agent defensive tackle Ben Stille.

Stille is a former Nebraska Cornhusker who has spent the past four years bouncing around NFL rosters. He was first taken in as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins and made seven game appearances his rookie season. From there he bounced between the Browns, Cardinals, Buccaneers, back to the Cardinals and back to the Dolphins before his most recent stint on the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad for the last couple months of the 2025 season.

In total, Stille has made 18 game appearances, one start, and produced 2.0 career sacks.

At 6-foot-4, 296 pounds, Stille is more in the three-tech kind of build, but has some experience kicking all the way out to the edge.

While it's unclear if the signing is related, Lions defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo did leave Thursday's practice with a groin injury. Tyler Lacy also left practice early, but Detroit did not provide an update on his condition.
