Luigi Mangione, who is accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, appeared Tuesday morning in Manhattan state court for a final pre-trial conference, where the judge addressed contentious issues surrounding media access at the highly anticipated trial.
Judge Gregory Carro announced that there would be an overflow courtroom for the 8 September trial. The media access plan for Mangione's case did not initially include an overflow courtroom - which is common in high-profile cases, such as Donald Trump's New York criminal trial.
