Raiders roster 2026: Get to know Deven Thompkins

The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran wide receiver Deven Thompkins as a free agent recently.

Let's take a closer look at Thompkins:

Size:

5-8, 155 pounds.

NFL experience:

Thompkins has played in 36 games in four NFL seasons. He was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022-23, the Carolina Panthers in 2024 and the Atlanta Falcons in 2025. He has 29 career receptions and 13 carries. He also has 42 punt returns and 45 kick returns.

Draft status:

He went undrafted in 2022 and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, where he was with now Raiders' general manager.

College:

He went to Utah State where he set school records for most receptions in a season (102) and receiving yards in a season (1,704) in 2021.

How he will fit in with Raiders:

Thompkins, 26, is slight, but fast. He is a versatile player who could help the Raiders in the return game if he flashes in the preseason. Clearly, Spytek likes him.
