The Detroit Lions donned the pads again on Sunday as they ramp training camp practice up now that the preseason opener is well in the rear-view mirror.

There were a couple new absences from practice on Sunday, but we don't necessarily have a ton of information on those situations-particularly with starting wide receiver Jameson Williams.

Here's everything we currently know about the injury situations. Note: These injury notes are based on our observations, as there is no official injury report this time of year.

Returned to practice:
  • TE Jackson Meeks (undisclosed)
  • OT Devin Cochran (undisclosed)

After an unexplained absence on Saturday, Meeks was back in the lineup and did not appear to have any limitations.

Cochran was suited up and went through some individual drills, but by the end of practice he was back in street clothes, not participating in any team drills. He's still working his way back from an undisclosed injury.

Limited practice:
  • C Juice Scruggs (soft tissue)

Scruggs got his first padded work on Sunday with the first team offense. However, about halfway through each drive he played, he swapped with Tate Ratledge, who slid over from right guard to center. Then it was Christian Mahogany who kicked over to right guard and Ben Bartch filling in at left guard.

This appears to be the Lions just managing Scruggs' workload while starting to dip Ratledge's toe in at center. Seth McLaughlin was exclusively with the second and third teams.

Not practicing:
  • RB Isiah Pacheco (knee)
  • RB Jacob Saylors (ankle)
  • WR Jameson Williams (undisclosed)
  • OT Giovanni Manu (NFI)
  • C Cade Mays (wrist)
  • EDGE Payton Turner (back)
  • DT Mekhi Wingo (concussion?)
  • LB Damone Clark (undisclosed)
  • LB Jimmy Rolder (leg)
  • CB Nick Whiteside(undisclosed)
  • S Kerby Joseph (PUP, knee)
  • S Brian Branch (PUP, Achilles)

There is no public information on why both Williams and Whiteside were missing from Sunday's practice. During Saturday's practice, there was no observed moment where either player suffered an injury, but we'll see what their status is on Monday. Dan Campbell also has a press conference scheduled for Monday afternoon, so we'll hopefully get an update then.

Filling in for Williams was both Tom Kennedy and Tay Martin, who shared first-team reps. With D.J. Reed and Rock Ya-Sin as the first-team cornerbacks, it was mostly Ennis Rakestraw and Khalil Dorsey with the second team, with some Roger McCreary mixed in.
