Breece Hall injury update as Jets RB goes down untouched at practice
New York Jets running back Breece Hall went down with an injury at the team's practice on Monday, Aug. 17, according to multiple reports.
Hall's injury occurred while he was running after making a catch in the red zone. He went down on his own and appeared to be favoring his midsection around the groin area.
Eventually, Hall was able to get up and walk off the field with members of the training staff. He was taken to the blue medical tent where he received treatment on his "upper right leg" area, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.
The Jets did not immediately provide an update on Hall's status.
Hall, 25, is expected to be a key part of the Jets' offense in 2026 after signing a three-year, $43.5 million extension during the offseason. He generated his first 1,000-yard rushing season in 2025 and has averaged 1,453 scrimmage yards over his last three seasons.
If Hall is required to miss time because of his injury, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis would be next in line for carries in the Jets backfield.
This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
