The 2025 Jets stumbled to a 3-14 finish. After an offseason full of spending in free agency and four top 50 picks in the NFL Draft, how much higher expectations for 2026?

If our most recent SB Nation Reacts poll is to be believed, not much. Last week we asked Jets fans where they expect the team to finish in the AFC East standings.

Almost two in three of fans who voted in our poll see the team finishing either third or fourth.

That honestly seems pretty logical to me. The Jets share a division with a Patriots team that went to the Super Bowl a year ago and a Bills team that has been a contender throughout the 2020s. Hopefully the Jets have made smart additions that will improve the team, but it's a long path from 3-14 to competing with teams like that. It will likely take more time for the Jets to reach that level. For now we can hope for a more modest improvement.
