Through two seasons of play, the former first-round pick has put up some eye-popping numbers. Nix has thrown for 7,706 yards and 54 touchdowns. His mobility has also been an asset, reeling off 786 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. In his 34 regular season starts, the Broncos' signal caller has 24 wins to his name with eight fourth quarter comebacks and ten game-winning drives.
There is no doubt Nix has some things to work on, but he has exceeded most any expectations any fan across Broncos Country could have had when he was taken with the 12th overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. Quite simply, he has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in the National Football League since being drafted.
This season, Nix has a few more friends on offense. That's a major reason he has a great chance to take his game to the next level in 2025. Earlier int the offseason, the Broncos' brass made a bold move adding wide receiver Jaylen Waddle into the mix. Waddle's dynamic playmaking ability is undeniable, and Nix is excited about what he will do for the team this season.
It's been great. He's an elite player, and he makes our room better. With him out there on the field, he adds a different level of explosiveness and just allows other guys to be better," stated Nix.

Alongside Waddle, the Broncos boast an extremely talented group of receivers. Courtland Sutton, the long-time veteran, will once again be a focal point of the offense's aerial attack. After them, Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant, and Marvin Mims Jr. round out a five-deep corps at the position-arguably one of the most underrated in the league.
It's been a long time since the franchise has had so much talent at the position. This year, they have the potential to be special. Speaking of special, Nix's spoke highly of Franklin after yesterday's practice and believes he is in store for a big season.
Troy's a guy that you don't realize how much he's actually picking up. You don't realize how much he's willing to learn. He asks great questions, very detailed questions. He definitely clears the air on a lot of things just by the questions he asks. He's a very intelligent football player, underrated knowledge. I don't think enough people know that about him," remarked Nix whose relationship with Franklin goes back to 2022 when they first became teammates with the Oregon Ducks.

I think now in Year 3, he's just putting his skill set with that knowledge that he's learned and put together in the NFL. Now you can see he's really starting to shine and really start being a play maker that we know he can be," added Nix.
But it's not just the star power at wide receiver that has Nix excited. In the 2026 NFL Draft, the franchise drafted Jonah Coleman who has stood out since donning the orange and blue. Second-year running back RJ Harvey will be a big part of the team's plans this season, and veteran J.K. Dobbins looked great in 2025 before he missed the latter portion of the injury due to injury.
In their first preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, the Broncos rushed for an impactful 162 yards on the ground. Their ability to tote the rock and control the pace of the game earned them a decisive victory. That sort of rushing attack will be crucial for the offense to reach new heights this season.
We have really good backs, and we're going to be excited to use those guys coming out of the backfield, running the football. We're excited about them and their skill set and then just grow on what we've been building over the training camp in this offseason."

This week, the Broncos host the Green Bay Packers in front of a hometown crowd for their second preseason game. It will be Nix's first in-game reps since breaking his ankle in the team's overtime win against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Playoff round. While his reps will be limited, Nix is approaching the matchup just like he would any other game.
You treat it as a real one and treat it like you're going to go play the whole entire game and then play with maximum intensity until they pull you."
