Seahawks rookie safety Bud Clark had to be carted off the field with a broken ankle during Seattle's preseason game with the Titans on Sunday night.

Head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed the injury following the game and estimated that Clark would be out multiple months."

Clark was the Seahawks second-round pick earlier this year and had worked with the team's second defensive unit during camp.

The rookie only played one defensive snap before he was injured during the game and had to be taken off the field.

The injury happened just a few minutes into the first quarter of the game and the Fox broadcast showed the team trainers working on his lower leg near Clark's ankle.

He was in clear pain while down on the ground and players from both teams quickly dropped to one knee in respect of the moment.

Other video showed both sidelines coming over to Clark to show support for the injured player.

He was taken off on a cart after several minutes and he appeared to have an air cast on.

It's not easy," Macdonald said about getting the team back into the game. To see how our team reacted. I think we had the whole team go out there to give him some love. I think that tells you what everybody thinks about him."

The Seahawks have dealt with several injuries recently, including one on Friday during a joint practice with the Titans that saw receiver Jake Bobo go down with a season-ending knee injury, and starting left guard Mason Richman was hurt during the opening drive on Sunday.
