Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets will run their final practice of their 2026 training camp today. Two of their top four 2026 draft picks, cornerback D'Angelo Ponds and tight end Kenyon Sadiq, will not be participating. This is no surprise, as they have both been out nearly the entire camp with injuries. For those hoping the two would make an early impact for the Jets, those hopes have faded as their injuries have lingered. After missing so much time, neither rookie is likely to play a prominent role early in the season for the Jets. Instead, they'll likely have to work their way slowly into the lineup as they try to play catchup after all the time they missed. In the long run that won't make much difference for their career trajectories, but in the here and now, it's unfortunate for both the Jets and the players that injuries have temporarily delayed their development.
