Giants trade guard Joshua Ezeudu to Chiefs for late-round draft pick

The Giants are trading guard Joshua Ezeudu to the Kansas City Chiefs for a late-round draft pick, according to multiple reports.

New York will receive a seventh-round selection in the 2028 NFL Draft for the reserve lineman.

Ezeudu, a third-round pick in the 2022 draft out of North Carolina, never really made his mark as a starter.

He started just 10 games during his three seasons with the club, appearing in 33 games overall. He had re-signed on a one-year deal in March.

This is the second deal involving an offensive lineman Big Blue has swung during the preseason after sending guard Daniel Faalele to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a sixth-round pick in the 2027 draft.
As things stand now, the Giants' starting offensive line is expected to consist of Andrew Thomas, Jon Runyan Jr., John Michael Schmitz, Sisi Mauigoa, and Jermaine Eluemunor, with Aaron Stinnie, Evan Neal, and Marcus Mbow among the potential backups.
