TheDallas Cowboysare back from Oxnard and are holding an open practice tonight at The Star. This will be our final training camp practice thread of the year as the team transitions to regular-season mode after the preseason game on Friday against the New Orleans Saints.

Unfortunately, dropping a Twitter List into this page no longer functions the way that it used to due to changes that the platform has made. We do have a list we recommend if you want to follow it in another tab. You can access it right here.

In order to keep the flow of things as smooth as possible though we'll be dropping in updates and news items in this thread. Give us your take on them in the comments.

Guess it all can't be rainbows and unicorns.

Cowboys are doing linemen 1v1s. Some good battles. Felt like the backup tackles struggled, however. Nate Thomas had a rep where he false started once and might've a second time in the hope of trying to get an early get off against James Houston, who beat him anyways.

The Cowboys' Jaishawn Barham (55) is going to be a weapon on early downs.

Against the Cardinals, DC Christian Parker used him on the open side (away from the TE) to puncture the Cardinals' downhill run game.

Cowboys S Julius Wood (concussion) is in helmets and pads during stretches. That's at least a positive sign toward him playing on Friday.

Injury update.

TE Michael Trigg (toe) will be working back to practice tonight, according to Brian Schottenheimer. Ajani Cornelius (knee), Jonathan Bullard (groin), Julius Wood (concussion) are not practicing.
