The 1.015-mile oval opened in 1903, making it the world's oldest continuously operating motor speedway. It features 9 degrees of banking in the turns. Drivers cannot stay flat through the corners, so the short oval drives more like a road course. The track rewards cars that can rotate through the turns without giving up speed on the straights. How Long Are the Milwaukee Mile Races? Both races are scheduled for 250 laps and 250 miles.
