Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Falcons fans and fans across the country.
After not re-signing David Onyemata and trading Ruke Orhorhoro, the Falcons will be relying on multiple new players on the defensive interior. Both players were acquired via trades to make the new rotation more fascinating. Time will tell how Maason Smith and Gervon Dexter Sr. bolster a group that was overpowered during extended stretches last season.
Smith's ability to swallow up blocks while Dexter Sr. generates penetration could be the perfect complement to Brandon Dorlus' explosiveness and relentless motor. Dorlus' emergence gives the defense one formidable figure who has proven he can produce consistently for one season.
Due to the limited proven options off the edge, he could shift to play more as a five-tech. That leaves the question of which pairing Jeff Ulbrich relies on the most inside this season.
