This past weekend was nothing but a whirlwind with player cuts, then construction of the practice squad. We all know that all year long the roster will have guys coming and going, and becoming injured.

Even though the roster came to a final 53-man resolve, things happen. Other players show up for the ones who have moved on to one list of another.

The Cardinals have made two moves.

WR Xavier Weaver and S Josh Minkins were both waived with injury settlements. This left a void. In a corresponding move, Arizona has signed OG Vershon Lee and DE Jared Harrison-Hunte and were both placed on the practice squad.

Lee (6'-4", 318 pounds) went undrafted last year after playing for South Carolina, where he played right tackle, and worked for three teams before being signed by the Minnesota Vikings. He was released during the final cuts and then signed to the practice squad. In early October, he was elevated to the main roster, then released two days later and re-signed to the practice squad. He had a good camp this year but was a final cutdown.

Harrison-Hunte (6'-4", 294 pounds) played three seasons with Miami and then graduated from SMU. He went undrafted in 2025 and signed with the Carolina Panthers. He was a practice squad member until he was elevated to the main roster in early November. He was a final cutdown this year.

Weaver appeared to be a player that Arizona would retain, especially with his return abilities. He made the final roster in 2024 after being undrafted out of Colorado. He had two kickoff returns for 51 yards, and played in 12 games with two starts.

BREAKING: The Arizona #Cardinals have signed Orlando #Storm safety Josh Minkins following his workout, per sources.

Minkins was a key piece in Orlando's secondary this #UFL season, with 39 tackles & a pair of pass breakups.
