RB Malik Davis carted off at Cowboys practice

The Cowboys may need to pivot to a new plan for their offensive backfield ahead of Sunday night's game against the Giants.
According to multiple reports, running back Malik Davis had to be carted off the field at Friday's practice after suffering an injury. There's been no word from the team about Davis's condition yet, but the team will issue their final injury report of the week later in the day.
Davis is listed as the No. 2 running back behind Javonte Williams. Emari Demercado, who was claimed off of waivers on August 31, is the other back on the 53-man roster.
The Cowboys also have Israel Abanikanda on the practice squad and an evaluation of Davis's condition will likely determine if he'll be called up for the opener.
