What the Bills first injury report of the week really tells us.

(Photo by Kevin Sabitus/Getty Images) | Getty ImagesThe Buffalo Bills returned from their little field trip to Houston fairly healthy, but now as they prepare to face the Detroit Lions onThursday Night Football'sWeek 2airing, they aren't going to have much time to heal up what things bumps and bruises they are dealing with.
The first report of Week 2 is a little longer than lastweek's, butit'sstill not scary.
NOTE:This tracker will be updated following each injury report leading up to kickoff.

Limited Practice
- LB Terrel Bernard - Calf
- RB Ty Johnson- Hamstring
- DL T.J. Sanders - Knee
Full Practice
- S Cole Bishop - Knee/Groin
- OLB Bradley Chubb - Thumb
- DB Jordan Hancock - Quad
The good news is that DJ Moore's quick trip to the medical tent Sunday afternoon, along with Josh Allen's temporary hand discomfort, didn'tamount to anything.
I would expect Ty Johnson to return this week, but if he does, what does that mean for Frank Gore, Jr.? Thesecond-yearrunning back was called up from the practice squad Sunday and out snapped Ray Davis on offense. In fact, the Bills' fourth running back doubled Davis's snaps: Gore, Jr. 10, Davis 5.Offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, Jr. - or Joe Brady depending on how we want to look at the Buffalo offense - seemed very content using Gore, Jr. in a blocking role.
It'sunlikely that Bernardwill be unavailable, butif hecan'twe could see Shaq Thompson called up from the practice squad.

Detroit Lions injury reportWednesday
Short, but inconveniently concentrated injury report to open the week. pic.twitter.com/D7wIHC63KG
- Justin Rogers | Detroit Football Network (@Justin_Rogers) September 14, 2026
No Practice
- OG Christian Mahogany
- OT Blake Miller
Limited Practice
- OL Juice Scruggs
Full Practice
- S Christian Izien
Miller and Scruggs are the blockers to monitor on this short week for the Lions. The former was the club's first-round pick out of Clemson and played 77 snaps in Week 1. Only allowed one pressure. Scruggs is Detroit's starting center, and he also played on all 77 offensive snaps for Detroit in their Week 1 victory.
If Miller can't go, veteran Larry Borom is the Lions swing tackle. He's appeared in 64 games with 38 starts in his six seasons to date.
As for Scruggs, who, at this point, seems more likely to play than Miller, if he's unavailable for Thursday night's game, the Lions would have to do some positional shuffling, as they don't have a dedicated backup center on the 53-man roster right now.
