California Pizza is no longer a joke

Long derided for putting just about anything on a pizza, California has two pizzerias in the world's top 5, according to the Italian culinary guide "Top 50 Pizza."
BBQ chicken pizza ain't so funny now, is it?
On Tuesday, Italy-based culinary guide50 Top Pizza released its global rankings for 2026- and three pizzerias with California ties scored spots in the top five.
