Aaron Donald plans to make debut on Monday

Aaron Donald told reporters on Friday that he plans to play for the Los Angeles Rams against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. The future Hall of Fame defensive tackle has not played since the 2024 season but started planning for his return in the offseason, making it public after the Rams traded for Myles Garrett. The timing couldn't be better, as Garrett was placed on injured reserve on Thursday and will miss the next four games, at least.

Donald, if all goes to plan, will start for a defensive line that has Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, and Byron Young. It's actually not that much different than the defensive line Donald last started for with the Rams in 2024, although now the team has Fiske and Poona Ford. In the absence of Garrett, it looks like Josaiah Stewart will have an increased role moving forward.

Can Donald get the Rams - and their pitiful run defense - back on track against Jaxson Dart and the Giants? He plans to be there so we can all find out.
