Eagles-Titans final score: Jalen Hurts leads game-winning touchdown drive
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - SEPTEMBER 20: Jalen Hurts #1 of the Philadelphia Eagles runs with the ball against the Tennessee Titans during the first half of the game at Nissan Stadium on September 20, 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Photo by Justin Ford/Getty Images) | Getty ImagesThe Philadelphia Eagles are 2-0 after beating the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday! Final score: 24 to 20.
It looked like this might be a terrible loss for the Birds. But it was not! Jalen Hurts ultimately led a nine-play, 65-yard game-winning touchdown drive capped off by a throw to Darius Cooper in the end zone to give the Eagles a lead with just seconds remaining.
As always, the Eagles have much to improve upon. The defense didn't look as nearly as good as they should've. The offense had some really frustrating stretches.
But the Eagles won. And the quarterback delivered when it mattered most.

FIRST QUARTER- The Eagles won the coin toss and elected to defer, per usual, to put the Titans on offense first. Jalyx Hunt opened the game with a TFL on Tony Pollard. Facing 3rd-and-11, Cam Ward's pass to Carnell Tate went through the receiver's hands with Andrew Mukuba in position to blow the rookie up. Mukuba put his hands up in fear of getting called for hitting a defenseless receiver ... but he held up well and there was no flag. Three-and-out.
- The Eagles took over at their own 28-yard line after a nice 23-yard punt return by Britain Covey. They immediately ran Saquon Barkley behind Cam Jurgens and the running back was tackled for a loss and banged up on the play. Not great! Facing 3rd-and-12 after a swing pass to Tank Bigsby went nowhere, Dontayvion Wicks got open in a soft spot in the middle of the field and Jalen Hurts hit him for a first down. Good ball. Facing 3rd-and-6, a Will Shipley run brought the Eagles to fourth-and-short. Facing 4th-and-1 (a long one, at that) the Eagles lined up for a tush push and it looked like Hurts got it but there was a flag on the Titans for being offside anyway for a first down. Facing 3rd-and-5, the Eagles lined up with an empty backfield and Hurts hit DeVonta Smith over the middle for a first down. Facing 3rd-and-4 after two Shipley runs, Hurts hit Wicks for another first down. Facing 3rd-and-goal from the 8-yard line after a Hurts designed run went nowhere and Hurts had to throw the ball away after Jeffery Simmons got pressure up the middle, Hurts got picked in the end zone and the Titans nearly had a pick six before Makai Lemon did a nice job of tracking down the receiver from behind to prevent the instant touchdown. Not sure what Hurts was seeing there! Even if another defender didn't jump the throw, which he did, Hurts' target (DeVonta) looked to be well-covered. 92-yard return on the interception. Disappointing to end the 15-play, 64-yard drive with zero points.
Jalen Hurts is PICKED and the @Titans take it a long way!

#Eagles waiting for 3rd and 4th down to even try to get past the sticks is unsustainable precisely because at some point you make a mistake if you need 15 plays to score... https://t.co/EFSKDXjTmK

The opening Eagles possession that ended with the awful INT by Hurts was 15 plays, 7:39. Longest drive Week 1 was 8 plays, 3:57.

- The Titans took over at the plus 10-yard line. Facing 3rd-and-goal after the Titans dropped a touchdown pass, Ward spun out of a Hunt sack (gotta finish, Jalyx!) and ran just shy of the end zone. Facing 4th-and-goal, the Titans went with a tush push of their own for a touchdown. Ward was talking trash to Jordan Davis after the score. EAGLES 0, TITANS 7.
Terrible pursuit by Jalen Carter on the 3rd down Cam Ward scramble. If Carter keeps hustling he could've made a play.
- Jimmy Kempski (@JimmyKempski) September 20, 2026
- The Eagles took over at their own 35-yard line. They slowly but surely moved into Titans territory. Facing 3rd-and-8, Hurts had to navigate pressure before finding Makai Lemon for a first down. Nice contested grab by the rookie to end the first quarter.

- Bigsby ran hard on back-to-back carries to get the ball into the end zone! Good player who shouldn't go so underutilized. Only had one touch in Week 1! Nice response by the offense to get a game-tying seven points on an 11-play, 65-yard drive. EAGLES 7, TITANS 7.

- The Titans took over at their own 29-yard line. Facing 3rd-and-1, the Titans easily picked up a first down with a Tony Pollard run. Calvin Ridley knocked the Titans' offense back with an unnecessary roughness penalty against Marcus Epps. Dumb flag for a veteran player. Facing 3rd-and-16, Ward was pressured into a throwaway. The Titans were flagged for a facemask penalty that would've wiped out any kind of positive gain anyway.
- The Eagles took over at their own 19-yard line. The Eagles got Hollywood Brown involved on a designed touch to the left end for a nine-yard rushing gain. This after he played zero snaps in Week 1. Hurts hit DeVonta along the right sideline for a first down. Facing 3rd-and-9, Hurts took off running up the middle and slid shy of the marker. Facing 4th-and-3, Nick Sirianni kept the offense on the field ... and took a timeout after the offense couldn't draw the defense offside. Facing 4th-and-3 again, Wicks got WIDE open and Hurts hit him for an easy first down. Good design/call from Sean Mannion there. Also good by Sirianni to go for it. Facing 3rd-and-4, Hurts picked up a first down on a designed run to the right edge ... and the Titans were also flagged for illegal hands to the face for another five yards. Facing 3rd-and-12, Hurts stood in the pocket against pressure bearing down on him and delivered a ball to Wicks for yet another first down. Wicks is a player. Also, kudos to Hurts for continuing to carry the offense on third-and-long. Facing 2nd-and-19 after a holding penalty on Cam Jurgens (his third holding flag this season), Hurts stepped right to avoid pressure and found DeVonta in the end zone for a touchdown! Again, Hurts is carrying the offense. EAGLES 14, TITANS 7.

- The Titans took over at their own 30-yard line with 1:45 on the clock and three timeouts to work with. Facing 3rd-and-13 after Nolan Smith sacked Ward (who tried to step up against the Eagles' pressure), the Titans ripped off back-to-back explosive completions to move into the red zone (bad open field missed tackle by Zack Baun on a Tyjae Spears catch-and-run). What the hell, defense? Ward only had eight passing yards before two straight completions for 55 yards. Facing 3rd-and-14, Brian Daboll went with a coward's draw. Lol, the Eagles gladly accepted that gift. The Titans' 37-yard field goal attempt was good to end the first half. EAGLES 14, TITANS 10.
THIRD QUARTEREarly down run game still the major issue. https://t.co/xympGUG20w

- The Eagles took over at their own 40-yard after the Titans' kickoff was short of the landing zone. Instead of leaning into their strength of the day, the passing attack, the Eagles came out running with Barkley and Tyler Steen got called for holding to knock the offense back. Lane Johnson was flagged for being too far off the line of scrimmage to knock the offense back some more and wipe out a Hurts run. Hurts scrambled, avoided a sack, and then got crushed as he somehow managed to get a dump off pass to Shipley. Facing 3rd-and-12, Hurts couldn't escape pressure and got sacked with Jurgens' man beat on the play. Three plays, -13 yards, punt.
1st play of the half. Running WZ right into an impossible look. I've seen this too much the last 2 years... https://t.co/xympGUG20wpic.twitter.com/GvoHJG89US
- Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) September 20, 2026
- The Titans took over at their own 16-yard line. Facing 3rd-and-6, Ward threw hot against the Eagles' pressure to complete a pass well short of the sticks with Riq Woolen making the tackle. Jalen Carter was utilized as an edge rusher on that play. Good stop.
- The Eagles took over at their own 43-yard line after a mere 35-yard Titans punt that took a big bounce in Philly's favor. Facing 3rd-and-5 after two short Barkley runs, Hurts recognized a blitz and got the ball out quick to Barkley for a first down. Nice recognition. Hurts took a deep shot to DeVonta in the end zone, and the receiver made the impressive leaping grab ... but the ball didn't leave the receiver enough room to get his feet in for the score. Unfortunate. Would've been a pretty sick Mossing by DeVonta. Facing 3rd-and-10, the Eagles had to burn a timeout with the play clock winding down. Facing 3rd-and-10 for real, the Eagles' offensive line allowed the pocket to collapse and Hurts had to throw the ball away. Jake Elliott came in for a 58-yard field goal attempt and drilled it! Big make, Jake. EAGLES 17, TITANS 10.
Jake Elliott gives the #Eagles a 17-10 lead in the third quarter with a 58-yard FG. The kick is tied for the 4th-longest FG of his career (longest since a 58-yard FG on 9/14/25 at Kansas City).
- John Gonoude (@john_gonoude) September 20, 2026
- The Titans took over at at their own 31-yard line. Zack Baun blew up a Titans run for a TFL. Facing 3rd-and-5, Ward hit a wide open Wan'Dale Robinson beyond the sticks for a first down. The Titans moved into plus territory with a 25-yard Ward completion to Ridley. The Titans moved into the red zone with a Ward completion to Ridley against tight coverage from Quinyon Mitchell. Facing 3rd-and-1, the Titans picked up a first down with a short run into goal-to-go. Mukuba had a physical hit to stop Pollard short of the goal line. Facing 3rd-and-goal, Ward rolled left and pretty easily found the corner of the end zone with a diving effort. A.J. Epenesa probably should've committed to stopping the QB instead of just hanging out in no man's land. 12-play, 69-yard touchdown drive by the Titans that lasted 7:11. You would like to see a better showing from an Eagles defense that's supposed to be better than this. EAGLES 17, TITANS 17.

- The Eagles took over at their own 35-yard line. Hurts had Darius Cooper running open over the middle for a first down and throw was zipped a little too wide of his target. Facing 3rd-and-8, Hurts faced pressured and scrambled for an incompletion. Three plays, two yards, punt.
We have entered the portion of the game where the Eagles forget how to play offense.

2nd half drives:
3 plays, -13 yards, punt
7 plays, 16 yards, FG
3 plays, 2 yards, punt
13 plays for 5 yards.
FOURTH QUARTER3rd and 8 play. Devonta and Wicks are off the field. Interesting decision
- Eliot Shorr-Parks (@EliotShorrParks) September 20, 2026
- The Titans took over at their own 19-yard line. Both Baun and Mukuba missed tackles on an explosive Pollard run for a first down. Facing 3rd-and-8, Ward threw behind his open target and nearly to Riq Woolen instead. Looked like Jalen Carter got held on that play but no flag. Obviously would've been declined anyway.
- The Titans nearly pinned the Eagles deep in their own territory but the ball took a fortunate bounce into the end zone for a touchback. The Eagles took over at their own 20-yard line. Facing 3rd-and-11 after picking up a single first down, Hurts hit DeVonta, who made a tough grab for the conversion. The Eagles went with another designed touch for Hollywood, which got wiped out by a Johnny Mundt holding penalty. Hurts hit Darius Cooper (beast) for a 23-yard catch-and-run to convert 1st-and-17. Feed him! Facing 3rd-and-12 after the Eagles did one of those bullshit plays where they throw the ball backwards to Makai Lemon for a loss, Hurts got hit by Simmons while throwing and lofted up a ball to an open DeVonta that didn't have enough on it and was instead caught over-the-shoulder by Titans defender Marcus Harris for a pick. Not a good throw by Hurts but there was no need for the offense to be in 3rd-and-long like that yet again.
Cam Jurgens beaten clean by Jeffery Simmons leading to a QB hit on the INT. https://t.co/u68VpJUjA2
- Deniz Selman (@denizselman33) September 20, 2026
- The Titans took over at their own 17-yard line with 6:00 on the clock. Jihaad Campbell gave up another big play in coverage, just like he did last week, and Marcus Epps got hurdled on a big Titans gain into plus territory. The Titans then moved backwards with multiple penalties, including one that the Eagles originally declined but then apparently accepted with the hopes of forcing a longer field goal. Facing 3rd-and-22, the Titans went with a coward's draw ... that picked up a FIRST DOWN into goal-to-go. Terrible stuff. Multiple missed tackles, including one by Marcus Epps. Awful. Unserious. Facing 3rd-and-goal from the 15-yard line after a big Jalen Carter sack, the Titans ran the ball to take the clock down to 2:00. The Titans made their 33-yard field goal attempt to take the lead. EAGLES 17, TITANS 20.

- The Eagles took over at their own 35-yard line with 1:56 on the clock and zero timeouts to work with. Hurts' short pass to Wicks was dropped. Facing 3rd-and-6, Hurts hit a leaping Wicks for a first down with the clock running. Two Hurts completions picked up another first down, with the second being a toe-tapping sideline grab by DeVonta to stop the clock. Hurts barely managed to avoid intentional grounding before taking off running for a small gain. Hurts hit DeVonta again to give the Eagles first-and-goal at the 3-yard line with 0:14 left in the game. Great throw, great catch. On 1st-and-goal, Hurts dropped back and found - WHO ELSE - Darius Cooper open in the end zone for a touchdown!!! My guy. EAGLES 24, TITANS 20.

- No dice for the Titans' desperation attempts with nine seconds left in the game.
- Tank Bigsby was first up to fill in for Barkley, who got hurt early in the game.
- Saquon Barkley (stinger) got banged up on the Eagles' first offensive snap. He was ruled questionable to return. Barkley was back in the game to begin the third quarter.
- Dallas Goedert (knee) got banged up in the second quarter. He was ruled questionable to return.
- Jalyx Hunt was looked at by trainers late in the game.
- Jalen Carter couldn't put weight on his leg after trying to block the Titans' go-ahead field goal late in the fourth quarter.
